Approved barrier packaging made with post-consumer recycled plastic
The IPACKCHEM Groupe introduces its new Advanced In-Mold Fluorination-r range of UN-approved barrier packaging made with post-consumer recycled plastic. IPACKCHEM’s PCR barrier packaging contributes to the circular economy while reducing environmental impact (CO2).
Benefits of IMF-r technology:
- UN APPROVED packaging with up to 50% PCR.
- A bi-directional barrier to substance migration that protect your formulation from container/content migration.
- External appearance very similar to virgin PE thanks to our unique manufacturing process.
100% recyclable packaging
A-IMF-r barrier is created by a chemical modification of the inner surface of the canister. Its molecular concentration level allows it to be recycled with standard HDPE. Moreover, A-IMF technology facilitates recycling by preventing content/container migration
Thanks to our unique manufacturing process the benefits of Advanced In-Mold Fluorination technology:
- UN APPROVED packaging with up to 30% PCR.
- A bi-directional barrier to substance migration that protect your formulation from container/content migration.
- Double barrier. A mechanical barrier, the HDPE is in direct contact with the product and a chemical barrier avoiding the migration.
- A-IMF technology facilitates recycling by preventing content/container migration.
- External appearance virgin PE.
Circular economy
An initiative to offer UN certified bottles containing up to 50% PCR (Post Consumer Recycled) materials has been launched in all IPACKCHEM geographies.
- RecyClass (a Brussels based plastic recycling organisation) approved IPACKCHEM’s Advanced In-mould Fluorination (IMF) technology as being fully recyclable.
- RecyClass have established a equivalence of test approvals with the Associate of Plastic Recyclers (APR) in the US.
